OFFICERS
Most officers have been girls in the company, although this is not compulsory. Training is given to make sure each person has the skills required. We have all done Child Protection training and are CRB / DBS checked.
OFFICER
Mrs Amanda Rose I joined 1st Kexborough Company Girls' Brigade as an explorer on my 5th birthday and have been involved with the company ever since. I have worked my way through all of the different ranks and sections before becoming and officer in March 2000. For 3 years, whilst working in St Albans, I was captain of 3rd St Albans Company. I now work predominantly with the Seniors and Brigader sections and I am also responsible for organising and running our Duke of Edinburgh Award programme. |
OFFICER
Miss Kim Hawksby I started The Gilrls' Brigade when I was 10 years old and have been an active member ever since. I love working with the girls each week and we have lots of fun. My favourite part of Girl's Brigade is the opportunities it gives you, through GB i have been to Kosova, South Africa, the Royal Wedding and even met the Queen. Its a fabulous organisation to be part of. |
OFFICER
Mrs Brenda Hodgkinson I joined Girls Brigade at an early age, when it was known as The Girls Life Brigade. Working through the ranks under the watchful eye of the captain. I left company as a teenager but after a break that spanned over 30 years, I found myself back helping out with the explorers. After completing my training I was commissioned as an Officer in February 2014. |
